What is Candy Decay?
Candy Decay is the name of my surreal mixed media art style — a colorful world where sweetness and decay exist side by side.
It is built around contrasts.
Cute and creepy.
Beautiful and broken.
Playful and uncomfortable.
Temporary and precious.
My Candy Decay artworks are filled with strange little characters, weird animals, skeletons, sweets, junk food and forgotten objects. They create tiny worlds that feel cheerful at first glance, but often carry deeper thoughts about life, time and impermanence.
The idea behind Candy Decay grew after my carotid artery dissection in 2026, an experience that changed the way I looked at mortality and the fragile nature of life.
Instead of turning those thoughts into something purely dark, I wanted to create something that holds both sides at once.
The joy and the sadness.
The silly and the serious.
The sugar and the decay.
A pigeon stealing pizza.
A raccoon collecting forgotten treasures.
A strawberry surrounded by bones.
Small moments that seem strange, but somehow feel familiar.
Candy Decay is about finding beauty in temporary things. It is a reminder that nothing lasts forever and that this is exactly why small, weird and wonderful moments matter.
Life is fragile.
Life is strange.
Life is Candy Decay.
