Are the hand-signed prints handmade?
Yes. Every hand-signed Candy Decay art print starts as my original mixed media artwork.
I carefully photograph, edit and print each piece myself in my little studio in Germany. Every print is personally hand-signed and finished with my official embossed artist stamp.
Are the original artworks one of a kind?
Yes. Every original Candy Decay artwork is a unique hand-painted mixed media piece created on a wooden panel.
There is only one original of each artwork, making every piece a little part of the Candy Decay universe.
Why do you use resin?
Every original is finished with a very thin layer of crystal-clear resin. I chose resin carefully and use only the minimum amount needed—not simply for its glossy appearance, but to protect the artwork from everyday wear while enhancing the depth and vibrancy of the colors.
I believe preserving a handmade artwork for many years is worth that thoughtful choice. If a more sustainable material one day offers the same level of protection and visual quality, I'd gladly make the switch.
What materials do you use?
My original artworks are created on wooden panels using acrylic paint, acrylic markers and alcohol markers.
Each piece is sealed with a glossy acrylic spray varnish and finished with a thin layer of crystal-clear resin to protect the artwork and create the signature Candy Decay finish.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. I ship my artworks internationally.
Original artworks and hand-signed prints are carefully packed by me in my studio to make sure they arrive safely. Wall art prints are produced and shipped by my trusted printing partner as close to you as possible to reduce shipping distances and delivery times.
What is Candy Decay?
Candy Decay is my colorful surreal art style where sweetness and decay exist side by side.
It combines cute, creepy characters, strange creatures, bones, food and forgotten objects with bittersweet stories about life, time and impermanence.
Who creates the artworks?
All artworks are created by me, Claudia, the artist behind Paintranger.
From the first idea to the finished painting, photography, hand-signed prints and packaging—every step happens in my own little studio in Germany.
Are the artworks AI generated?
No. My artworks are not AI generated.
Every Candy Decay artwork starts as a traditional hand-created mixed media painting with real materials, textures and imperfections.
Can I use the digital downloads commercially?
No. Digital downloads are for personal use only.
You may print them for yourself or as a gift, but they may not be resold, edited, redistributed or used commercially.
What if my hand-signed print arrives bent or damaged?
My hand-signed prints are shipped in sturdy letter mail and packed as carefully as possible. However, if your print arrives bent or damaged during shipping, simply send me a photo of the damage within a few days of delivery.
I'll replace your print free of charge—no hassle, no questions asked. I want you to receive your artwork in perfect condition.
How are the hand-signed prints packaged?
