Gifts Under 10 Euro That Are Not Rubbish
Claudia SchmidtShare
The under-ten-euro category is where gift shopping goes to die. It is mostly novelty items designed to be funny for one evening and then embarrassing to throw away.
Here is what is actually worth buying at this price from my shop.
Stickers, 3,90 euro
Kiss-cut vinyl, so they survive a water bottle and a laptop lid. Weird Pigeon and Sugar and Scavenging are the two that exist so far. Good on their own for a small thank-you, good as a filler next to something bigger.
Printable art, 9,90 euro
The full painting as a high resolution file. They pick the size and the frame, nothing gets shipped, and it costs less than most greeting cards plus postage. Every artwork in the shop has a download version.
The colour guide, 9,99 euro
Nine cents over, which I will allow. The Candy Decay Color System is for anyone who paints or draws and keeps ending up with muddy colours.
The 7,90 euro one that keeps going
One month of the Collector's Club: a printable artwork and a postcard in the actual post. As a small gift it is unusual, and getting real post is a specific pleasure that costs almost nothing to give.
Free
The coloring pages and phone wallpapers. Not a present by themselves, but worth including.
The rule that makes cheap gifts work
Pick something specific to the person rather than something generically nice. A three euro sticker of a pigeon eating pizza, chosen because they once sent you a photo of a pigeon eating pizza, beats a twenty euro candle every time.
If your budget stretches a little further, the under 25 euro guide has the next tier.
